NAAC sponsored National conference on higher education concludes

The two-day online national conference on the topic ‘Higher Education in North-East India: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges’ organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Tetso College culminated on 23rd January, 2021 which saw participation from various parts of the country such as Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, and Nagaland in the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) sponsored conference.

The presenters on the last day were Devangana Saikia on the topic ‘Strategic Management Practices in Private Colleges with Reference to Competitive Advantage: A Synoptic Study’, Dr. Hewasa Lorin on ‘The Naga Approach: Ways of Negotiation and New Age Learning’, Dr. Swati Moitra & Mr Gourab Ghosh on ‘Looking North-East: Implementing the National Education Policy 2020 and Its Challenges’, Suravi Ghosh on ‘Public-Private Partnership and Collaboration in Higher Education: An Analysis in the Perspective of Human Rights with Special Reference to the Constitution of India’, Dr. Debabrata Sutradhar on ‘Status of Higher Education in Nagaland’, and Dr. RimmeiLongmei on ‘Education under Government Supervision or Control and Intellectual Progress in India’.

The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. V. Vijaya Chamundeswari, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Tetso College while feedback on behalf of the participants were given by Sumita Banik Saha of St. John College, Dimapur, Dr. S. Maxwell Lyngdoh of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong and Suravi Ghosh of University of Burdwan, West Bengal.

Certificates were handed out to all the participants by Dr. S. Elika Assumi, IQAC Coordinator, Tetso College.

In his closing remarks, Dr. P.S. Lorin, Principal, Tetso College called on the need to organize such conferences in the future and congratulated all the participants and the organizers for the huge success of the conference.
