Today we celebrate the wonder that a teacher is. You might think that your students don’t see the passion, the effort, and the proverbial extra mile you go to and put in every single day when you are in class. However, as your student, I can guarantee you that you are appreciated and we are glad to have such a great teacher.

Teachers, someone who will never ever get jealous of your success and will always silently pray for your well being. They stand with us and help us jump over every single hurdle, but they also instruct us to enjoy these jumps as a game and not as a burden. Teachers are like our parents, our second parents, who work so hard so that students shine even in the darkest hour. I owe my every success to my teachers for laying the foundation stone on my education, cementing each brick with knowledge and wisdom to make me stand tall and strong enough to face any storm and win every battle in the process of becoming a good human.
Thank you teachers!❣

Most of us have never seen something quite like this. We’re neck deep into a mass extinction level crisis, suffocating from the difficult troubles of our Naga society, and now we heave through our daily lives carrying our own heavy boulders while an incessant fear over the safety of our lives and the lives of our loved ones looms around us.
And yet, you still manage to teach an entire class of more than a hundred, arrogant, irritating little humans who cant seem to do what they’re told, or at least finish their bloody assignments on time.
I am aware of the burdens that come with being an educator. I do not know of the personal hardships that you bear, or the hassle and stress that you face to bring to our screens the knowledge of the world. But I am grateful for your existence, your actions that help us, and how your presence here eases me, and makes my troubles more bearable.
Much like a parent, the day you decided to teach, your life was no longer your own. You became an instrument of progress, a torch bearer- ready to pass on your wisdom to the next generation, so that they may shoulder the responsibilities of our race, much like you did.
Many youngsters like us, look to the world, to our machine society, and fall into a nihilistic despair, and lose all hope for a better future, a better life, as our species plummets into a end of our own making. I am such a youngster. And to every and any teacher who reads this, I’d like you to know, you are my hope. Your actions and suffering do not go unnoticed. I am at a loss of words, to write down how you being here pushes me to pursue my goals, and how your efforts, however invisible, have shaped my days for the better. You remind me of all the good things of the earth, and how you deserve that better life, as much as any of us do, maybe even more.
I am more than privileged to be a part of an institution, whose teachers, scholars and professors, constantly strive for the excellence of humanity.
Happy teacher’s day. 😉

Celebrated in honour of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday, who had asked people to dedicate the day for teachers and mentors, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5 every year. Many countries mark the day a month later, on October 5, which is the day selected by UNESCO to honour teachers. No number of thank you cards, flowers or gifts can ever be enough to express the gratitude for the innumerable contributions of teachers in our lives. Thank you, teachers, for also making online classes so enjoyable. I found guidance, friendship, discipline, and love, everything. Happy Teachers’ Day!
