Starring k-pop band member from Black pink Jisoo as the lead actress, i was super excited for the drama ‘Snowdrop’ and it did not disappoint when it got aired, although it had gained some Viewer’s attention for alleged historical distortion. The controversy first arose in March where the show was accused of historical distortion and channel JTBC denied the claims.
An online petition was filed demanding the K-drama to be taken off-air. However, the situation improved.

Set in the 1900s mood, Snowdrop is definitely a must-watch k-drama especially if you’re a fan of Jisoo, considering it is her first time acting she did not disappoint. She is the perfect role for Eun Young-cho, she expresses great emotions although she’s still very new to this industry she aced it. I am super impressed with Jisoo.

The plot twist of this drama is a rollercoaster ride with so much suspense and excitement, although it is a work of fiction the whole story is beautifully portrayed, the whole cast did an amazing job. Each actor fits perfectly for the roles played and are so mysterious and unpredictable some are very annoying, some very loveable but each having a funny side. As the story deepens each character’s secrets unravel, bringing much excitement! Each episode is full of suspense and exhilarating moments.

Not the typical romance we see on other dramas, Jisoo and Jung Hae-in chemistry in the drama is immaculate. It’s just so heartwarming and tingles the mind one can feel and see the emotions through their touch and eye contacts. It shows innocent love, a little slice of life. I absolutely loved the fashion in the drama. The 1900s mood is such a wholesome mood, the songs in the drama are so beautiful, calming and peaceful the lyrics of the drama OST could just make the one listening cry.

The ending of the drama was something I didn’t expect, preferably not my cup of tea but it was still beautifully done. Jung Hae-in did an amazing acting. He is so versatile and talented. Although I wish the story ending could have been a little different but then again this is just me shipping over Jung Hae-in and Jisoo.

With enough action, romance and suspense Snowdrop is a masterpiece drama. I can safely say this was the best K-drama I have watched so far. It is a very pleasing drama and I totally recommend it to all.
