Liverpool’s victory now joins Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham in the last eight of the Champions League.
It is the first time four English teams have made it as far as the quarter-final since 2009. The other four teams qualified for the quarter-finals are Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax and Porto. The round of 16 has been crazy as many teams made a huge comeback. Manchester United made a comeback against PSG from a two-goal deficit and drew 3-3 on aggregate. Similarly both Juventus and Ajax made a huge comeback to claim their position in the last 8 of the Champions League. The fans are going crazy on social media over the achievement of the English clubs.
