Dottalks with Sentilong Ozukum

A household name Sentilong Ozukum; a writer, a speaker, a civil servant and an inspiration to young people everywhere in Nagaland, was a guest at the Tetso College DOTtalks on 21 February 2019. He is the author of the best selling books ‘Campus Blues’ and ‘Sincerely Yours’ which have received great reviews and appreciation over the years.

Focusing on the topic Dream, Sentilong spoke of his life and of his struggles to achieve his dreams. Born and brought up in Mokokchung, he had big dreams which he thought were too big and unachievable but he pursued on nevertheless because of the burning desire in his heart. He talked about giants that he had faced in his life in trying to achieve his dreams and our goals. He says there are three giants that always try to bring us down: Disapproval, Discouragement, and Doubt. However, if we keep on going about what we love, we will certainly get there one day.

He emphasized on the core values and how important it is. He encouraged the students present to each generate our core values and to stick to them no matter what comes our way. The talk ended with a brief question hour where students who were curious about his books or about his life were given a very detailed and wonderful explanation to fulfill their curiosity.
