    UGC confers autonomous status to St Joseph’s College Jakhama

    The University Grants Commission conferred St Joseph’s College Jakhama in Kohima district of Nagaland autonomous status after the National Assessment and Accreditation Council re-accredited the college with Grade A. The University Grants Commission (UGC) conferred St Joseph’s College Jakhama in Kohima district of Nagaland autonomous status after the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) re-accredited the college with Grade A. The NAAC is an organisation that assesses and accredits higher education institutions.     BHSS represents Nagaland at Science Drama Competition

    Under the initiative of the Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur, Department of Science and Technology, Nagaland a total of eight students and two faculties from Bethesda Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Dimapur represented Nagaland at the NE Zonal Level Science Drama Competition held at the Regional Science Centre, Guwahati on October 26. The Event was graced by Jayanta Bhagawata, Eminent Film & Drama Artist as the chief guest.     Mangkolemba gets an arts college

    Mangkolemba in Mokokchung district will have an arts college, the foundation for which was dedicated recently. ‘Mangkolemba New Model College,’ as the new college is called, was dedicated at Tzupaksa in Mangkolemba of Mokokchung, on October 10. Menuokholie Kire, state projector at the Higher Education Department said in his introductory note said that the new college would be of Arts. It is being implemented as part of the Rashtriya Unchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan programme phase-II. The college’s campus covers 29 acres in Khar village’s jurisdiction.     Chuchuyimpang students repair college’s road

    It was a goodwill mission for the students. The Chuchuyimpang Students’ Union (CKT) has embarked on a mission to repair a portion of a road at a landmark point, at Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung district. The student volunteers have been repairing the road covering approximately one kilometre till the college’s main gate for the past three days, it is informed.
